E-Com Activity # 7

“10 Things I Experienced at BSU”

1. Disbursing only a quarter of the tuition rate of most schools in the metropolis, enrolling at BSU gives me an advantage — the university is accredited, thus, it is at par with more popular schools in the big Manila cities at a cheaper cost. Education here at BSU is indeed of quality.

2. Verbal presentation in class could be a noble way to gain confidence and heighten my communication skills. In our classes, we share our thoughts on different topics. By presenting, I could immediately get the feedback of my professors and classmates.

3. The people of the Benguet province are the main assets. I surely feel comfortable since the city has the most honest population. I feel secured each time I visit this place and go to school. My classmates and I get the chance to meet people from Benguet who share their different cultures and practices.

4. The weather - No doubt, the province of Benguet is the favorite summer getaway of people who are trying to skip the intense hot sun of the low-lying provinces. This blessing of the city has more value to me. I can concentrate more on my studies.

5. There are a lot of places to visit nearby our school. I have the usual tourist spots like the Lion’s head, Burnham Park, Camp John Hay Historical Core, Philippine Military Academy, Diplomat, BenCab Museum, Tam-awan Village, Strawberry farm, the Baguio Museum, Botanical Garden, Lourdes Grotto among others. After our classes at BSU, my friends and I take time to visit few of these places for a good experience.

6. Benguet’s predominant language or dialect is Ilocano, although the national language, Filipino is widely understood by residents and English is also considered as the second language for the locals. This university enhances my skill to understand their language better.

7. Meeting new people can be a lot of fun at school. It can be a chance to have an interesting conversation, or even make new friends. Sometimes, meeting someone new can be a worrying experience, but I enjoy having new people in my life. Through our classes, I get the chance to meet new faces with different fields of expertise.

8. The professors that I have for this semester are considerate and organized. They set goals with their students and they didn’t forget to set a purpose. This gives them an opportunity to chunk learning and students are able to meet attainable and personal goals.

9. The schedule of our first class starts at 7 in the morning. I come from Tarlac City which is 3-4 hours away from BSU. In order for me to be on time, I get up at 2 am and prepare for a couple of minutes to travel to BSU. This is a challenging experience for me because I do love sleeping a lot, but I must manage my time well to finish this course.

10. Unlike other cities, Benguet does not have so many recreational facilities like casinos, gambling houses, pubs and the like that may distract me from studying. Hence, this is very much suitable for learning.

In order for me to see all the important reminders from school, I look at the bulletin board at all times. This is intended for public posting to advertise, announce events and provide information. This is an effective way to announce significant things to the target readers.

4. The Gates

The gate from which you pass is like light rays through the iris. This iris reflects what is going inside us and tells us about what the happenings of the property. If the gate is opened, it means that I should get ready to go to school.

I get to see my former classmate from Saint Louis University at school, because she is enrolled with the same course that I am in. We update each other about our personal lives and laugh at the past things that we experienced during our college years.
